Prestigious Downtown Insurance firm is seeking experienced Claims Assistant for a long term termporary position.
There is a great career path potential.
Skill Requirements:
· Advanced-level knowledge of MS Office (especially Word, Excel, internet) a must. Proficient typing and data entry skills.
· Must be able to learn quickly, know when to ask questions, and be self-motivated.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential, as position requires regular customer service and telephone interaction with their clients.
· Basic math skills Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities/deadlines.
· Must be detail and results-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Must work well in a small office environment, with a willingness to help the team and do general clerical and administrative tasks as needed including handling incoming and outgoing mail and maintaining and ordering office supplies.
Job Responsibilities:
. 2-3 years insurance experience required
· Handle new claims calls from claimants and setup files
· Verifies policy information and processes payments .
- Assist Claims Manager as needed
· Other related clerical and administrative duties as assigned
Education:
HSD - Some college preferred.
Insurance courses preferred
Compensation: $15-$18.00 per hour
